Farewells and Morphine

These went down while I was away from bloggerland:

• Went to my friend Lib's farewell party.
• Had an impromptu haircut (Whenever I want to do something drastic to myself, I always do it on my unguarded moments. With this. I won't have to think about it too much like that time I decided to have my tongue pierced one lunch hour from work).
• Had my hair dyed to rich black (again...one of those unguarded moments and it turned out not bad at all)
• My first time to transport a sick patient from my hospital to the other in an ambulance. Little did they know that I was the one feeling sicker and sicker by the minute because I have a terrible case of motion sickness and I had to suck it up and act like I was ok. I could never work for 911, you guys.
• Started on Nasonex for my seasonal rhinitis and sinusitis.
• Broke up with YOU for the second time.
• And just today: Received a bolus of 500 cc D5 1/2 NS, Morphine 5mg IV STAT and is on Tramal 100mg every 8 hours. Thank you to my friends who brought me to the E.R, to those who checked on me, to those who covered my shift for me. Thanks YOU for coming to the E.R. to check on me and cheer me up, telling me that my new do is nice (while I'm so tweaked out by the Morphine). Thank you for coming back seconds after you left just to ask me if I needed anything (note: Not getting back together, ok? Just checking on each other).

Status quo: Still very grateful for life and the people around me. On sick leave for 2 days.
