Actual conversation between my mum and I ( a few days ago)
MUM: When are you having a bun in the oven?
ME: In God's perfect time, mum.
MUM: OK, but please don't be late. I'm turning 50 this year.
Me: Egad, mum! Should I just get knocked up by some incompetent lad?!
MY THOUGHT BUBBLE: I'm not the one turning 50 here--my womb is perfectly safe and intact!
She used to be really strict when it comes to my boyfriends but now she's just rushing me, practically wanting to auction me off EBay!
Never felt pressured like this.
I don't get parents sometimes.
